Storytelling Concerts for Adults

Tales of Tender Courage and Raucous Humor

Through raucous humor, quiet reflection, stories and music, Beth creates a unique performance that critics have called “Dynamite!”

Family Album: Stories of the Characters of our Lives

Tales of notable family characters — of both good and questionable repute (the best kind!). Although Beth draws from her own family and ancestral escapades, she brings her listeners into a world full of the characters found in each of our lives.

The Haunting and Humorous: Ghost Stories for Adults

Stories to chill your spine and tickle your funnybone!

Love Lost, Found and Fumbled

A romantic, raucous romp through stories of love — from classic, tragic and laughable love stories to modern romance novels. Includes Beth’s most often requested spoof Encounter With A Romance Novel.

Strong Women: Stories of Laughter and Light
Strong Women: Grand Adventures and Everyday Heroines

Both of the these performances include traditional and contemporary tales, myths, songs and original stories featuring active, positive female characters.

Wild Women!

Similar to the above programs, but leaning toward the raucous & humorous. This program also includes Beth’s spoof Encounter With A Romance Novel.

The Women Within Us

Features stories of the women in Beth’s own ancestry — including Winifred’s Journey, the near epic tale of Beth’s mother’s journey from city party girl to rural farm wife to globe trotting scholar.

Tales of the Civil War Era

Stories and songs of this complex, emotional period in American history. Includes The Silver Spurs, a tale drawn from the Civil War diary of her own great-great grandfather.

The Pipeline Blues

A program including the captivating, fast-paced tale of one man and one song that galvanized a community. A story of environmental triumph that makes the subject of sewage entertaining.

Midwest Memories in Story and Song

The best of the region’s humorous and eerie traditional tales punctuated with personal escapades of growing up in the Midwest.

Old Dogs…New Tricks

A joyous mixture of humor and pathos tailored to the specific listening audience.
